What is Shortcut Image?

This application is a widget designed to quickly display a selected image. You can place it on your home screen as a widget for easy access. It allows Android users to create shortcuts of picture files on their device's desktop.

It is intended for the following users:

• I want quick access to the image of a bus schedule from my home screen.
• I need to view a map to an event location immediately from my home screen.
• I want to have a photo of my favorite daughter on the home screen for quick viewing at any time.

Requirements:

For Android 4.X:
1. Open the "Drawer."
2. Choose "WIDGETS."
3. Select "ShortcutImage" (1x1) or (2x2).

For Android 2.X and 3.X:
1. Go to the Home Screen.
2. Long press on an empty area.
3. Choose "Widget."
4. Select "ShortcutImage" (1x1) or (2x2).
5. Name and save your chosen picture file in the setting window, and a thumbnail widget of the image will be added to your home screen.

How to Use:

1. Tap the home widget to view the image.
2. Select "View Image."
3. You can display the image by choosing a viewer.

About settings:

Display name: Option to display the name below the thumbnail image.
Anti-aliasing: Option to enable anti-aliasing for widget thumbnail creation.
Use original size: Option to use the original image size for widget thumbnails (recommended not to check this for images larger than 400x500 pixels).

Notes:

This application is a widget app and will not function correctly if installed on an SD card. If you do not see the Shortcut Image icon in the widget list after installation, please ensure that the app is on internal storage.

Troubleshooting:

If images disappear after restarting your phone, try the following:
- Disable "Optimize Battery Usage" in settings > apps.

There could be instances where this app malfunctions due to various reasons. You can consider the following suggestions:
- Try using another photo/image.
- In Widget settings, attempt selecting a photo from another app.
- When viewing images by tapping your widget, try using a different application.
- Experiment with changing your Home App.

This application lacks a built-in viewer function, requiring an external application for viewing images.
